Mit Herz & Huf offers horse-assisted therapy (Reittherapie) for children, adolescents and adults. Sessions are run by a state-certified occupational therapist and riding therapist with the owner's own therapy horses on a farm in Kempen. Goals include relationship building, reducing anxiety and strengthening self-confidence, and programmes are tailored to developmental, behavioural, psychological or neurological needs. Ground work, walks and free work with the horses are offered to clients who cannot ride because of the 70 kg riding weight limit. Sessions are generally paid privately, though funding through health insurers or youth welfare offices is sometimes possible.
